Kidney cyst

Anyone had experience of kidney cysts? I have had a 20mm septated cyst for years. It was first picked up on gallbladder scan 15 years ago. I had an abdominal ultrasound yesterday and it has some some small calcified deposits behind it but they can’t see clearly so I have to have a ct scan. I’m obviously terrified. Have severe health anxiety and don’t cope well with these things. Thanks

Hello
l know this was 3.5 years ago but l’ve just been told that l have a septated cyst too-mine is 34mm, l don’t think they seemed that fussed about mine so if you’re reading this, can you tell me please what happened with you.
Many thanks and l hope you’re now well.

Hi, nothing at all happened! I spoke to my GP and they looked at an earlier CT scan that I had in 2018 and said that it was absolutely fine to leave so I did. No symptoms of anything and all is well currently. Hope that helps.

I have a 60mm septated cyst! It was picked up during an abdominal ultrasound back in 2019. I then had to have a ct scan. After that they monitored it for 3 years then discharged me.
I pay for a private ultrasound once a year just to keep a check on it but so far there has been no change 🤞
My urologist said if you were to scan the whole national a huge percentage would have cysts.

I was told the same @MyheartgoingBoomBoomBoom . Most people don’t ever know they have them.
