Has anyones IBS got worse in pregnancy? or could it be candida?

Since about 6 weeks (i'm now 12) my IBS symptoms have been really bad. it is mostly bloating, so that by the end of the day I look twice as pregnant than in the morning. I think this is partly because I am eating different foods to normal to try and assuage the morning sickness, (alot of bread, carbs and sweet things )but it is relentless and sometimes makes me feel more ill than the ms.

My normal bouts of IBS (when I'm not pregnant) don't go on for weeks and aren't as severe.

The only other thought I had was that this is candida, but I'm not sure what the symptoms are. I am also extremely tired (alot more so than in my previous pregnancies) and wondered whether this could be something other than pregnancy related - I am not anaemic.

Does anyone have any experience of this?

My IBS got really bad mid-pregnancy this time. I had a couple of days of really bad cramping pains. No experience of your other symptoms though. See GP?

My IBS was terrible at the start of my pregnancy for first say 20wks and then was still bad but got better after that.

Doctor told me that it's very common for pregnancy to affect IBS. In some women it 'cures' it for the length of their pregnancy and in others it just goes worse - as always it's a hormone thing!

The tiredness thing is totally normal, it feels like you've been drugged doesn't it? Overwhelming, horrible tiredness is normal in pregnancy even without IBS but if you have to contend with pain and stress of IBS it's no wonder you're tired.

I've got no advice other than to say I know what you're going through!
