Popped ear

Does anyone have any tips for unpopping an ear? Mine popped on Friday and just won't unpop, it's starting to really bother me as my head feels really full and I feel a little off balance if I sit up to quickly

Poor you. It sounds like either your ear or sinus's are a bit blocked. You will just have to let it sort itself I think. A warm flannel over the ear might give some relief. A decongestant tablet might help too.

You can buy ear unblockers online, they’re like little balloons that equalise the pressure. I found it really helpful as I get it a lot!

Thanks, I will try both of those suggestions!

I can do this by pinching my nose and blowing hard with my mouth shut.

Thanks Sheeeesh, I have tried that, moving my lower jaw from side to side, yawning, chewing, swallowing etc - it's stubborn 🤦‍♀️

Good ol' blocked eustachian tubes. They suck.

Given you've gone through the usual exercises, you could try an antihistamine if you have spring allergies. Or a decongestant, which might not help and has a chance of making it worse - they work by reducing the amount fluid in your snot rather than reducing the amount of snot, so it gets denser and may make it even more plugged.
