Tongue pain?!

Last night I was eating a little bit of pineapple. I felt something burning once it went into my mouth to the back near my gums I then swallowed and the pain transferred to the base of my tongue. A pain/burning sensation. I started freaking out. Went to sleep and just woke up and the pain is still there. I don’t know if it’s in my head/if it’s possible to burn my tongue or if I have a foreign body stuck. Any ideas?

I'd say that it's likely to be the pineapple that's 'burnt' your tongue, my daughter gets the same thing. Pineapple juice is quite acidic... lots on internet about pineapple tongue.
