Glass in Finger

Adult DS got some glass in his finger in December (actually he didn’t realise there was glass in it at the time). Finger has healed and no infection but glass is now trying to come out.

Is there anything that will help draw it out? Obviously he doesn’t want to go poking around and risking infection.

If you can get to the chemist. Magnesium sulphate paste is a drawing ointment.
I use burgess lion old fashioned ointment but you have to order that on the internet. X

Try soaking finger in hot water

Thank you. I will see if I can order it online.

Baking soda - make into a paste - put on the area and put a plaster on top. That should draw it out, quickly.

Baking soda is sodium bicarbonate and will work in a similar fashion to the substance suggested by a pp

Update: the glass fell out on the same day the paste arrived 🙄😁!
