I've seen several threads on here about things being stuck up noses and a common theme seems to be that it starts to smell very, very bad as whatever it is thats stuffed up there rots away .

Keep your nose open for any whiffs IYSWIM

DD1 did this with a piece of plastic wrapping - after a couple of days it smelt like rotting parmesan and a straw coloured fluid leaked out from one nostril - we went to the doctors with me saying "No way would she put something up her nose and not tell me" . Out comes a piece of plastic covered in green slime. "I didn't tell you Mummy because I thought you'd be cross"

Be nasty to your little boy
And slap him when he sneezes
He only does it to annoy
Because he knows it teases!

Sorry, AWF, your post just reminded me of that little rhyme!
Hope the stage passes soon before too many trips to the doctor!

Please be careful about this. dd once stuck something (hard object) up her nose, was not nice

Do you know the method of getting objects out?

pyjamaqueen · 15/09/2007 18:26

Not that this helps at all, but dd1 (now 10) reminded me the other day that when she was younger I had to take her to A&E with a bead stuck up her nose. Had completely forgotten about it. Think it was a relatively easy thing for them to sort out - so just go along there if you think there's something stuck up his nose!

pepper! makes 'em sneeze!
Or a long pair of forceps and a good strong hand in A+E.

Peas are a favourite-small round and just the right size......and colour.
