how would i tell if ds had something stuck up his nose?

ds is going through a sticking everything up the nose phase and last night he was putting bits of hs dinner up there i saw a bit of potato go up and got it out but he was quite unsettled last night so is it possible there is still something up there?
he has a cold aswell

I've seen several threads on here about things being stuck up noses and a common theme seems to be that it starts to smell very, very bad as whatever it is thats stuffed up there rots away .

Keep your nose open for any whiffs IYSWIM

DD1 did this with a piece of plastic wrapping - after a couple of days it smelt like rotting parmesan and a straw coloured fluid leaked out from one nostril - we went to the doctors with me saying "No way would she put something up her nose and not tell me" . Out comes a piece of plastic covered in green slime. "I didn't tell you Mummy because I thought you'd be cross"

ok thanks dont think him having a cold will help as there is green and yellow snot! had a bit of cheese from his lunch come out about 4 hours later and blue fluff eirler!

Please be careful about this. dd once stuck something (hard object) up her nose, was not nice

Not that this helps at all, but dd1 (now 10) reminded me the other day that when she was younger I had to take her to A&E with a bead stuck up her nose. Had completely forgotten about it. Think it was a relatively easy thing for them to sort out - so just go along there if you think there's something stuck up his nose!
