Should be OK to wait overnight but worth a check tomorrow esp if it's still sore. Need to check if there's damage to the cornea.

ds was hit in the eye with a toy and it scratched the cornea. He had to have ointment for a week. ds symptoms were sudden intermittent pain that would stop him in his tracks and he would scream and the eye was red and watery is the eye red or watery?

Agree with Liath. I would go right now though if he has problems with sight etc rather than a sore eye.
