Recently had a prolapsed disc removed, (microdiscectomy) recovering slowly, not to drive till 6 weeks. Can any one give me advice on encouraging a 2 and 4 year old to climb into car, booster seats, cot etc. How can I make life easier. Family been fantastic - but need to return to daily routine next week, but I am under clear instructions not to lift, not to sit, not to bend. I am a full time mum.

Make it all a game.
Can the 2yr old go into a bed so you dont have to lift over bars etc? If not put a chair next to cot for getting in and out.

I didn't really want to switch 2 year old to bed, as 4yo still a night time waker. So couldn't cope both at it. Can get her to get in cot with a chair, its getting her out again.

Car seems biggest worry, or do I need to take stool everywhere??
