Hi everyone,

My DS who is 2yrs 5 months old has recently become very sensitive to loud noises (e.g. aircraft overhead, the hoover, 'instrument time' at toddler group) and will cry and try to cover his ears. He isn't running at temp or has any indications that I can see for an ear infection, and is otherwise perfectly well and his usual happy self. Should I annoy the GP about this? It's been going on for about a month?

Thanks xxxx

Hi there. My DS is now a month off his 5th birthday and doesn´t like loud noises at all. When he was a baby he used to love the sound of the hoover, planes, sleep through fireworks, etc then at about 3yo changed completely. He´s a lot better with some sounds now.

Must admit I´ve never taken him to a Dr over this as he wasn´t sick and has got progressively better as he´s aged. Not a lot of help but just thought I´d let you know you´re not alone. It´s quite nice as our house is quite sedate (until friends come over)
