I've had a long thin splinter bruise under my nail for around 3 weeks which is not growing out with my nail so presumably it's on the nail bed itself? It's not painful and doesn't change colour or shape when I press on it but it is getting longer. It starts near the top of my nail and is right in the middle and travels down to about a third from the base. It's on my ring finger. Should I be seeking medical advice? Bit worried but not sure if I should just wait it out a bit longer and see what happens. Thanks.
