Hey all, I’m new here!
I’m getting super stressed and depressed about this, about two months ago I had a phone call appointment with my gp, had itching and a small red rash come up under my stomach fold area, he diagnosed intertrigo and gave me daktakort cream. I used that and then it got better for about a week and a half, carried on using daktarin (daktakort without the hydrocortisone in it) and suddenly I woke up and it had returned, I have used daktarin powder, canestan, cuticura mildly medicated powder, and the list goes on, I shower twice a day, air dry for 15 minutes splayed like a starfish on my bed and then apply cream.... I also cover the are in dove cream deodorant to stop sweat... it always seems to go away and then about a week later rushes back, the doc gave me antibiotics in case it’s bacterial and nothing changed and now I am on an oral antifungal (started yesterday) does anyone have any advice?
Also and probably the main thing in worrying about is that about a few weeks after the initial intertrigo diagnosis I got a red rash start on my left temple on my face and over two months this has spread to cheeks, forehead and nose.... basically whole face, it’s slightly rough to touch and looks like a have a sunburn, not patchy or blotchy just solid red, it was itchy around my eyes so doc said to use canestan on face, they itching went away after about 4 days but the redness won’t seem to settle, anyone think this could be fungal?
Any help would be much appreciated
