says to be given after feed but to be made up immediately before administration

can i make it up before feed starts? feeds 20 mins or so atm. if i have to get up after a feed and faff around mixing it, he'll already have chucked up

also - pls tell me i don't have to bother sterilising spoon/syringe??

I used to make up just before feed, else too late! And no - i didn't sterilise the spoon.

Was it you who was asking whether up chucking was because of tpp much milk?

Tutter · 14/09/2007 11:10

no, not me

i did ask about fast let-down

Can't remeber - all i know is i made it up in advance cos dh bollocked me for it. I think we tried before and after but it cleared up when he started being weaned. He's 3 now so memory not great! And didn't sterilise on grounds of older dcs putting grubby fingers in his mouth etc, just washed well and rinsed with boiling water.

i often made it up before a feed or sat and mixed it while feeding. dont think it matters if it sits around for half an hour. and i did sterilise the syringe. but she is my pfb
