DS kicked DH in the eye

My 23 mth old lout was playing on the bed with us this morning, and kicked daddy in the eye. DH says it feels like it hit the eye itself, he never got the lids closed and is in some pain with it. I want him to get it checked....is he better going to an optician or just to the local A&E? If it was just the bruising I wouldn't bother, bu the eyeball is quite bloodshot.

Emergency appt with GP?

Thanks, but all appointments taken at GP's we can try again tomorrow if still painful ...all emergency appointments went when the surgery opened at 8.30. We eventually got through at 8.35 to be told no chance. grrrr

A local friendly optician should have a look and then recommend what to do next.
