Early menopause? Anyone got any experiences that they would share?

Trying desperately hard not to do 'self-diagnosis via Google' and I am seeing my GP tomorrow. But I can't help thinking that this is one possibilty for how I have been feeling for a few months.

I am only 33.
Anyone care to share?

OK I have just searched the archives and people seem to be suggesting thyroid problems.
My sister was recently diagnosed with an underactive thyroid. Is it a familial thing/
