Persistent cough

Help this is driving me mad! I caught a chesty cough off DD2 about 3 weeks ago. I have self-isolated for a fortnight following start of this before anyone tells me! For what it's worth I don't think it was covid-19 related (no temp, have otherwise felt well) but have followed advice anyway since I can't be sure, and even if it was I am long past the period of being contagious. But I can't get rid of this cough, and it's really getting on my nerves (and I'm tired of people looking at me like I've got the black death). I'm hacking up phlegm all the time, and I can't stop coughing. My throat is also sore. I tried phoning my GP surgery last week thinking I needed antibiotics for a chest infection, but they basically told me I probably had viral bronchitis and I just had to wait for it to pass.
I had to take one of the DDs for their vaccinations today and the surgery wouldn't allow me in the building despite me assuring them I had self-isolated for the required period etc. I'm due back at work tomorrow and I'm worried everyone's going to look at me like I've got the plague. Help!

High dose liposomal vit c and look up N-ac to shift off chest

Viral coughs can last weeks and weeks so, whether or not it's been covid for you, the cough will probably be around for some while.

Okay thank you for your advice. I hope it buggers off soon though as it's getting pretty miserable now. :(
