Went on oral birth control years ago to help ease heavy periods, though they've started to return in the last two years or so.
This month though I've had some of the worst pain I can remember, mostly centered on the lower right hand side, towards the centre, and radiating up my back towards the kidneys. But again, only on the right hand side. I'm also very sore in a line across my middle, under my boobs, as if I'd been doing sit ups and pulled a muscle! (I haven't, obviously.)
The weirdest thing is that despite all the pain, I'm not bleeding as much as I usually would. In fact my flow keeps stopping? I'm not lying down or anything that would explain it - it just seems to keep stopping for no reason. Has happened two or three times now, it's like it just dries up for a few hours. I've never experienced anything like this, in nearly twenty years of periods. Is this normal?
Absolutely no chance I'm pregnant, btw. It's been all quiet on the southern front for a few years now
