Vertigo

Yesterday afternoon I looked up at DH and the room started spinning - the only reason I didn't fall over is because he caught me. I've had vertigo ever since and feel pretty shitty. Technically I'm working from home but I haven't been able to do very much today because I feel so wobbly.

Can anyone suggest something that might help (other than ginger tea, which I cannot stand)? Will it just go away, and how long might it take to go away? I can't do any of my usual home exercise stuff and it's going to be this which makes me start climbing the walls!

Travel sickness tablets help me. I take Stugeron
15 tablets, have a nap and then I'm usually ok. I'm used to it more now but when I first used to get it I'd be in bed for about a day and a half.

I feel for you, vertigo is horrible. Last time I had a dizzy spell I was in the park watching DS on a roundabout. Luckily it was just us there and DH was with me because I had to lie down on the floor with my legs up on a bench. Dh had to carry me to the car and stop along the way to hold my hair back while I threw up in a bush Blush

Travel sickness tablets - brilliant! We usually have some in the house so will find those or send DH out on the hunt.

In the mean time, I'm definitely giving up on work for the day and retiring to the sofa.

You have my sympathies op, I suffer with bouts of dizziness too. I take half a Kwell tablet and it takes the edge off, a whole tablet works better but makes me sleepy so if you can sleep then take the recommended dose.

You need stemetil op.

I get a prescription every time my vertigo flares up. Try and turn over in bed very slowly. You have my sympathy it's truly horrible!
