It's pretty sore and itchy, been putting E45 but it's not helping, don't really want to be out and about in this current situation so just wondering if anyone has any ideas what it could be??

Does anyone know what this could be?

Could be;
Shingles, scabies or a form of eczema.

Thistlepicker · 20/03/2020 13:58

Shingles. Bet you a roll of Andrex.

DustyMaiden · 20/03/2020 13:58

Probably contact dermatitis from excessive hand washing.

FloofenHoofen · 20/03/2020 14:02

That literally looks like shingles. My daughter just had the exact same rash on her shoulder. The doctor said if it goes in a shoe horse shape it's shingles.
So keep an eye on the rash and see if it spreads, ideally though you want to be going to the GP in the next 72 hours for antivirals.

I've had a rash in that same place for a few weeks (put it down to a bit of eczema) but the last couple of days it's bumped out like this but seems to only be there on the hand no where else

When I had shingles it looked like that, but there was a row of them. Could you go to a pharmacy and speak to someone there?

moonway · 20/03/2020 14:17

Yeah I was thinking of popping to the pharmacy, especially with everyone thinking it could be shingles, what's the deal with it passing on? Just that I have an 8 month old I'm worried about now!

I don't know, but DH has had a small rash patch on his leg for months that looks identical. He's had various creams from the GP and nothing seems to get rid of it so far.

moonway · 20/03/2020 15:05

Been to the pharmacy, they've told me it looks like dermatitis and given me some daktacort

Do you get Cold Sores? It looks like a cold sore, you can get them anywhere on your body not just on your lips. I know someone who gets them on their arms every now and again.

You can use your usual cold sore cream on it.

Ds had ringworm which looked a bit like that
