Anyone anaemic?

Blood tests have shown I'm anaemic. I think I have been for years but haven't had a blood test until now - always tired, cold and dizzy etc.

I'm vegetarian which doesn't help the iron levels, so wondered if anyone has any tips on good things to eat if low on iron and anaemic? I've heard of kale, but anything else that's rich in iron and suitable for veggies?

Hi my bloods are taken monthly, and two months ago I was anemic. Started taking vegan multivitamin from H&B (penny sale) and last months bloods all fine.

My leaflet from the blood service (who wouldn't let me give blood because of low iron recently) says:
(Lean red meat, turkey, chicken)
(Fish including.mackerel, sardines, salmon, pilchards, shellfish)
Eggs
Breakfast cereals fortified with iron
Pulses and beans, particularly tinned baked beans, chickpeas, lentils
Nuts (including peanut butter)
Brown rice
Tofu
Bread especially wholemeal or brown breads
Leafy green vegetables especially curly kale, watercress, broccoli, spinach
Dried fruit, in particular apricots, raisins, prunes

Plus vit C helps with absorption, so fresh fruit and veg with meals, fresh orange juice. And avoid tea with meals, as it can reduce absorption.
