I've been trying to reach NHS 111 from last 3 days because my 4 Yr old got fever and a cough but seriously after every 50 minutes the call would just go blank. Anybody else experiencing this?

My gp have refused to take a look at him and I can't get through NHS 111 what am I suppose to do?

Hope he feels better soon Flowers

Yep,sadly the phone system seems to be struggling to cope. All you can do is keep trying and be patient.

SleepyTinker · 12/03/2020 10:17

It says to call 111 if the child is under 5. My son is 4

Google the providers of 111 for your area and then ring their direct number to complain.

BoreOfWhabylon · 12/03/2020 10:25

You could also contact your MP's office.

SleepyTinker · 12/03/2020 10:26

thank you, I'll just call the provider.

MPs have contacts we don't. They need to know if their constituents can't access services.

AHippoNamedBooBooButt · 12/03/2020 10:32

Theres just more people calling then there are staff. Be patient. Or try phoning at quieter times such as lunchtime or very late evening till the early morning (10pm-5am say).
They have hired hundreds of new staff but they have to spend 3 weeks in training first so hopefully in the next week or two it will be easier.

SleepyTinker · 12/03/2020 11:20

I'll try after 10 again, or else I might have to take the MP way. Thank you all ❤️

Do you have a corona virus pod at your local hospital. I wonder if you rang the hospital and asked to be put through that they could help you
