Late/Missed Period

Ive not long ago turned 40, periods are usually anything between 27 and 33 days apart. I’ve never missed a period other than when I was pregnant. Definitely not pregnant but it’s been 45 days since my last period and still no sign of it.

Has anyone had this? Is it likely to just be my age, start of peri menopause? Or just a blip? I had a google and it says to only go to a GP if you miss 3 periods so I obviously won’t bother. It also seemed to say periods can start to be a bit more irregular in your 40s which I knew already but I’ve only just 40 and up until this I’ve been pretty regular.

No more stress than normal but now find myself awake in the small hours thinking about it so thought I may as well ask.

Have you been stressed about anything? I missed one after my mother died. Obviously worrying about it causes stress in itself.

Otherwise, I would assume age, and probably so will most GPs, so you will have to wait to see if it becomes a longer gap. Might be worth checking out other symptoms of peri, so you can point out anything relevant if you do see a GP.

Sorry about my reading abilities, you already said you're no more stressed than usual. I hate people who don't read the thread!
