HI all, my DS is now just over 5 months old and he was diagnosed with positional talipes only when he was 2 months old (he always had it but no one mentioned it when he was born and we thought his inward feet would just correct themselves). We have seen an NHS physio back in January and only just received his boots he needs to wear (in March), with a follow up appt in 6 weeks.
However, we are due to see a private consultant to get a 2nd opinion on this and the boots. We have been massaging his feet and doing the exercises since January and his feet are able to go back into position, but they still end up pointing inward when we let go of them...
Should we be worried about this, if indeed it is 'positional' and his feet can be moved back 'into position'?
We are just concerned that they havent corrected themselves and he is now 5 months old where online it says these should correct themselves naturally after a few weeks from birth...
Also, anyone had any experience with the boots? The physio (who wasnt very good) said that the boots are fixed to gently adjust the feet back into place, with a further adjustment to them in 6 weeks. Just need some experiences here to give us peace of mind. Thanks!
