Hi, I'm now 3 months post emergency laparotomy and generally feeling pretty much back to normal. Tried my jeans on today though for the first time and just not comfortable! Managed for a few hours before giving in and putting leggings on.
My wound took a good 9 weeks or so to heal and the skin is really sensitive around it, also have a bruised kind of feeling to the left of the scar.
Has anyone any experience with this? Will I ever wear jeans again???

It was a long time ago but I've definitely managed to get into jeans since my laparotomy. I did have significant scar pain and nerve damage (which felt like someone touching my stomach and I still feel very occasionally) and needed to have further surgery for adhesions about 6 months after my laparotomy, but since then, no problems.

I hope you see improvement soon Flowers

Thank you. I've made huge improvements, just wish it had never happened!

Hi there, I had an emergency laparotomy at 14 weeks pregnant. I found maternity over the bump jeans rather comfy...worth a try? The soft part of the jeans sat over the scar. Hope you're recovering well.
