Is this normal?......My ds testicles are not always in the scrotum

Sorry to sound a bit dumb but I have no idea whether it is normal for little boys testicles to leave the scrotum! My ds is 6mo, and the testes are sometimes in the scrotum as you would expect, and at other times the scrotum is empty. It does not appear to hurt him if i feel to see if they are there or not. Don't want to take him to the doctor if this is normal, but i have no experience of little boys, and my dh can't really remember about his boyhood 'bits'. Any advice welcome, Thanks

i think they retract when they are cold etc
think it is totally normal TBH

Normal even adults shrink when cold, sumo wrestlers can pull theirs up inside too.

Doctors check to see if they have dropped at a certain age, can't remember what age.

The dr will look at 2yr check, only if they are not fully descended by then will it become an issue.

If they are already coming down of their own accord (even if sporadically!)then you should not have a problem
