Feeling a bit worried Cyst/Fibroid

Hi all - i'm probably just overthinking. Been to the docs this morning Re: painful periods, weird pressure internal lump feeling in pelvis. She thinks maybe fibroid or cyst (like I did) but i'm just feeling a bit anxious as all my follow up appointments have been made so quickly . Have a blood test tomorrow morning and a scan booked in for three weeks. Also now worried that it may turn out be nothing but definitely something 'there'.

i have not been to the GP for personal issues for a few years so I could just be over thinking but do you think there is any chance she could have been worried about something else and that is why it has all been booked in so quickly?

They are a good practice so probably just efficient.

That’s great the gp is on this so quickly. She probably knows how stressful it has been for you with the other issues you mention you’ve been there about and is just trying to get this done quickly. Possibly also before all this Coronavirus crap kicks off and the nhs is stretched, who knows.

I heard that most female cancers you don’t feel them so you dont know they are there. Yours you can feel so sounds benign. Granted there is always a risk that something that seems like a fibroid might be something else but I think I got checked up on pretty quickly with mine too and it was just a fibroid. Well a bunch of fibroids. Shrunk a bit with peri menopause and less uncomfortable now than previously, when one of them had distorted my womb to bulge over into my ovary and caused pain. Try not to worry.

Thanks @Elieza that is a great help. Hadn't considered coronavirus issues ...thinking about it the surgery seemed quieter today too.
