Lithotripsy

I ended up in hospital yesterday having lithotripsy for a kidney stone. I was in agony and would have consented to them cutting my leg off if it would have helped the pain.
It was only today that I really thought about the paperwork I signed. They said because I was under 55 they needed my consent to go ahead because of radiation being used near my ovaries. I just signed but am worried today about what the heck they've done. I thought lithotripsy was sound waves, not radiation.
