Vitamins - RDA

I have some vitamins which I sometimes remember to take 😉 when I do take them regularly I do seem to feel better. Tonight I have been reading up on supplements for perimenopause (not even sure I am, just putting loads of weight on and looking for an excuse ha) and noticed that the vits I take are all exceeding the recommended daily allowance. Could I be harming myself (on the odd occasion I take them regularly)? Hoping someone can enlighten me please.

Depends which ones and how many you are taking

It depends whether the vitamins are water soluble or not.

If they are water soluble it means if you take too many you just pee then out. No harm done.

If they are not then they will be absorbed into your body and can build up to toxic levels.

You should google each one and see which are water soluble. If there are ones that are not then read up on the results of taking more than the rda. Some countries rda figures are way different to ours by the way. If you have concerns talk to your pharmacist.

Thank you so much. I think yours is a good suggestion to talk to a pharmacist.
