Ok so bit of history... I had my eldest child almost 15 years ago.. long labour, which ended in episiotomy and forcep delivery.. I have always said I was never the same again down there.. the recovery was awful and painful. However I made a good recovery and went on to have another child 4 years later, normal birth, no complications.

I have always had a weak bowel since the first birth. If I needed the loo then I had to go quickly, it was a pain If I was out and about but completely manageable.

However over the last few months I have very little control over my bowel. This week alone I’ve had 3 accidents, the muscles to hold it in just won’t work or aren’t strong enough. I’m going to have to go to the GP but I just wandered how common this is especially after a birth involving forceps etc..

Thank you

Don't assume it's anything to do with your previous injury. It may well be, but don't delay seeing the GP.

Please see your GP soon. There may be no connection between it and your pregnancies.
