Cyst/lump on scalp

I'm booked for an ultrasound to look at a lump on the back of my head. Possibly a cyst or calcification of an old head bump. I've had a lump there for a long time but lately its felt uncomfortable. Has anyone got any experience of this and can offer any insight please?

I have 3. They all seemed to pop up at the same time. GP was not concerned, said they were cysts and the only way to remove them was private surgery.

Can I ask how big they are and if they hurt or feel uncomfortable at all?

Yes, have a few of these, they are just cysts and all quite small. Had one on top of head that was there for years and years, in the end it started growing so had it removed as was uncomfortable and kept knocking it🤢.

Did it feel hard?

Yes, hard and was quite big when it was removed but not so big that it wasn't just a routine procedure

Like a firm bouncy castle or ball. I try not to touch them tbh. They make me feel a bit weird. The are round, about the diameter of the top of my index finger, although one feels slightly pointy, like it has a mole on top and slightly off centre, if that makes sense.
