How can I improve my energy levels?

I'm hoping that MNs can give me some tips here. I have a 9.5 mo DD, and am really struggling to cope with my lack of energy and constant tiredness. She sleeps for 11 hours at night (which I know is good), going to bed at 7pm and waking up every day between 5.30 and 6 am. She naps for just over an hour in the day (I can't seem to get her to go down for any longer).

I find that I am not ill exactly, but have a lot of headaches, and feel tired nearly all the time. I guess my lifestyle could do with some attention, so have started by giving up my glasses of wine in the evening. I am thinking that I need to eat healthy snacks (but they need to be things that can be prepared easily, as DD does not amuse herself for very long) and maybe take a multi vitamin. Exerice, other than walking around with the pushchair, is out of the question as I cannot afford to join a gym at the moment.

What can I do to perk myself up? What foods should I be eating? Is it normal to feel knackered all the time with a baby? What is the secret of all these amazing Mums already contemplating second babies when they've got a 10mo?

Lots of water. Fresh, unprocessed foods and cut down on the carbs as much as you can (which also means fruit).
