Thyroiditis - anyone?

10 days ago GP sent me to A&E with suspected thyroid storm - ended up being diagnosed with "acute thyroiditis".

Being treated with steroids & beta blockers for hyperthyroidism / thyroxitoxicosis - got to get bloods checked again next week to see if any change. Consultant at hospital said it might turn into hypothyroidism, but a bit vague. Haven't been referred to endocrinologist.

Looking online, there seems to be info about different types of thyroiditis, but as I'm at stage of hyperthyroidism, it's not straightforward.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of this, or even anyone with hyperthyroidism to ask if this pain in my thyroid is going to go.
