Dd sick - unsure what to do!

I went in to get my Dd this morning and she had been sick all down the front of her sleeping bag. I thought this was a bit strange but she seemed fine. Dd then proceeded to vomit up her morning milk and she's now refusing her breakfast, something very unusual for her. She's having small sips of water so I'm not too worried, and I've left a message for my health visitor. Dd has never been ill before and she's 16 months so I don't really know what to do!
Any ideas?

Just carry on with small sips of water. Check her temperature, and keep an eye out for any other symptoms such as a rash. She won't come to any harm with just plain water for 24 hours, then you can reassess.

You will be amazed at how often a healthy child is ill. 9 times out of 10 it is not serious and gets better on its own.

Thankyou, I feel much more relaxed about it now! Dd hasn't been ill before so I probably find it far more worrying than I need too. Dd seems fine, she's had some toast, plain biscuits and water so I think she'll be fine. Staying away from the milk for now though!
