Smear results.

Hi. I just wanted to get some information regarding the smear test results. I had mine on 16th jan. Got a message last week saying to book appointment to see gp about results. But I haven’t had a letter come to me. Is this how it’s done now? I’m worried because it said urgent.

Text message or voice message? Regardless I would ring the gp surgery and tell them you received a message, they can see from your file if the doctor has requested to see you to discuss results.

I had this because they found some abnormal cells during my smeer. Nothing to worry about just means I have to have my smeer done more regularly. My sister also had this once because she was just finished her period and it meant they couldn't get the proper results.
