6 week old has swollen lumps in neck

behind ear area ...therefore i now think are swollen lymph glands

should i worry?

anyone else experienced the same?

is it newborn starting to fight nasty little bugs in new environment?

My DS started chicken pox with swollen glands - took him to doctor because of the lumps on his head thinking he had some terrible brain disease and felt rather silly!The spots appeared two or three days later.Any chance your LO could have the pox?

My DS had swollen lymph glands when he was 2-3months old, I took him to the doctor who said it wasn't anything to worry about, she recorded the size and told me to come back if I thought they were getting any bigger.

It took a couple of months and they disappeared, only to reappear next time he got a cold.

It seems to be down to fighting infection and unlikely to be anything to worry about.

When ds was tiny I took him to a cranial osteopath and he said "oh I see he's been ill recently". I was mystified how he knew and he told me it was because of the lumps on his neck. I hadn't even noticed them .
