Blood spots?

Back in December I noticed tiny black brown pin prick spots on both palms, some are getting very dark in colour. I've noticed blood spots on my arms and chest too. Does anyone know what it could be?

The pictures aren't great, my camera doesn't capture the actual amount of spots on my palms, there are lots of them

I had some on my chest and posted about them on mumsnet. I think I came away with the feeling it was age related. They've not really appeared any more.
