Blood pressure/Heart rate question

I’ve been to see my GP and he had referred me to a cardiologist. I have bradycardia (Rhr usually 42/43) my BP was high 135/95. I’m constantly cold...not just a bit chilly but freezing cold...jumper/thick socks/blanket/heating on kinda cold.
My GP was running late and consequently I was due at a meeting at DS school so didn’t really have time to ask the questions I wanted to.
Anyone had the same?
Any idea what could be wrong?
What is a cardiologist likely to do other than ECG and repeating BP etc?
Thanks!

When I saw a cardiologist they did an echocardiogram which is an ultrasound of the heart

Hopefully they’ll test your thyroid as hypothyroidism can show as you describe.

Also, if you’re v fit your HR will be slower. Your BP is barely high, and a one off read isn’t necessarily high BP.

The echo and probably another ecg will be done. What was it took you to the GP?

Thanks @Bunnyfuller
I’ve had bradycardia for years and it’s never caused any issues but I went to see my GP as lately I’ve been fainting a couple of times a week and just generally becoming out of breath and fatigued easily.
I’m not athletic, at all Grin I’m a healthy weight for my height and I exercise now and again and walk a lot but certainly not VERY fit.
My BP, although not majorly high, was high for me as I’ve always had low BP.

They might fit a 24hr ECG to see if your heart rate changes during the day. I had a friend who went to the doctors with a headache - she had a low heart rate and high BP. They sent her for lots of tests and found her heart rate was dipping really low. Good luck

I too was referred for bradychardia but with very low BP too. Got a number of ECGs including 24h one, ultrasound etc... In the end, all was normal and consultant said all I could do was managing it to avoid fainting my giving tea and coffee completely, drinking 3l of water, wearing support socks.

It turned to be caused by the perimenopause. It's gone back up since I've gone into full menopause.
