Is this hearing loss?

I don't know if I'm being a hypochondriac but it just dawned on me that maybe I'm having hearing loss..

I find it difficult to focus on what DP is saying if the TV/music is on and I'm often having to ask him to repeat what he's saying (usually blaming him for mumbling Blush). Likewise when I push DS home from nursery in the buggy if we're going past traffic I can't hear him either.
Also, and I know this sounds stupid, but everything just seems quieter too.

There's no history of hearing loss in my family though. Not sure if this is worthy of a GP visit.

Has anyone else suffered hearing loss and had these symptoms? Would love to know others experiences please!

Go to the GP. It could be something as simple as a build up of wax in your ears

pollywobble · 03/02/2020 11:34

Sorry, yes it does sound like it but ^^

You could also book a hearing test at specsavers. It’s worth having someone look in your ears. It could just be wax.

Thank you @MNHQ
And thanks to you both. Hadn't considered that it might just be a build up of earwax. I'm not usually a waxy person but I hope it's just that!

I'll book myself in at Specsavers thank you @PurpleDaisies
