I just wanted to see if anyone else has had a side affect from the whooping cough vaccine when pregnant?
When I was pregnant with my first I remember I caught a terrible cold. My partner called 111 at one point cos I was laid in bed and hadn’t eaten for 2 days. Went walk in centre and just said it’s nothing and it will pass. I threw my back out from coughing so much.
Anyway, roll on 3 years later and I’m pregnant with my second and I had the jab about 2 weeks ago.
Now I am held up with the most horrible hacking cough you can imagine. Went to the doctors who said nothing is on my lungs, it’s just all in my throat.
It’s just made me think back to first pregnancy and it can’t be a coincidence. I’ve not been poorly at all these last 3 years.
I had croup quote a lot when I was younger and i wonder if this has anything to do with it.
Anyway, has anyone else had this or have I literally just caught a nasty bug at the exact time I did last pregnancy?
