I just wondered whether anyone has had anything similar?
I’ve had a muffled ear for 12 months now and have seen 3 GPs over that period who have all told me that my ear is healthy and working fine. But it still feels blocked and sometimes hurts (but not always) and I have a lot of phlegm in my throat on that one side.
Went to see a different GP yesterday as I’ve also now lost my sense of smell. He said it sounds like sinusitis and has given me steroid drops.
I always thought sinusitis hurt by your eyes?!
I’ve googled and it sounds as though he could be right. Finally! But I’ve never heard of this before. After all this time I’m wondering why it hasn’t got better on its own and will the steroid drops help.
