Acid reflux causing squeaky breathing?

I have had bouts of acid reflux since pg with DS3 10 years ago. It’s currently randomly flared up, and the acid coming into my throat must be irritating it as I sometimes notice a faint squeak/whistling or two from my throat.

Used to take ranitidine but it’s been discontinued now. No other symptoms, breathing and swallowing is fine. Anyone recognise this? Dont really want to go on Omeprazole again. Does drinking milk help soothe things?

I’m really suffering at the moment. I don’t have squeaky breathing but do have difficulty breathing due to the acid.

I find milk really irritates mine. Peppermint tea really helps me.

Yep the acid and subsequent air swallowing really affects my breathing.

Not squeaking but I have breathing issues with it.

Ranatidine isn't discontinued- I take 150mg x 3 per day on prescription.

I might keep taking it then. I heard something about a recall on ranitidine. But it does work really well for me so loath to give it up.

The squeaking is similar to when your throat is really irritated. I used to get it the morning after I’d smoked too much (many years ago, gave up nearly 20 years ago in my mid 20’s)
