Hemp oil for sleep?

Spainintherain · 26/01/2020 20:28

I gave trouble getting to sleep and back to sleep mainly due to my babies waking me! I am interested in trying a cbd oil. Can anyone recommend one that works in helping you to sleep better? Is there a specific potency? Thank you

Cbd brothers or Cheds are reputable suppliers. Look for oils or pastes containing indica which is the variant which makes you sleepy.
CBD Brothers white oil or Cheds indica oil and remember to start low (dosage) and slow (increase).

They seem to only have low dose? Have you found them effective?

Hi @Spainintherain.

These are both the brands that I use and were decided upon after months of research.
With CBD you start off with a 1 cm 'worm' on a piece of chocolate (for example) pop this under your tongue or in your cheek to allow absorption. This method allows the active ingredients to get straight into your blood stream and bypass your stomach were they would become less effective.

The rule of thumb is 1 cm of paste (or 1 drop of oil) x 3 daily for a week then increase to 2 cm 3 daily for a week and so on. You'll find your 'sweet spot ' as when you increase you'll come to a point where either your symptoms return or you don't feel any effect, and this is when you drop back down again as you've gone past your sweet spot. I use cbd for migraines and energy and when I increased to 4 drops,I got the mother of all migraines but by dropping back a stage I returned to the therapeutic effects again.

Remember that cbd doesn't work the same as a pharmaceutical and it's a gentler remedy which works by activating your endocannabinoid system so you'll need to take it regularly to gain best affect.

If you're on fb you can join CBD Brothers or Cheds pages, but be aware that they're extremely busy and you may have to wait a short while for admission.
