Has my verruca gone? (Photo)

Sorry if I’m being really silly!

I’ve had a verrucca for a few months and started treating it with salact-something, the kind of treatment where you are supposed to put some on every night, removing whats there from the night before, and filing weekly.

Well i was using tweezers to pick at it and in the first couple of days I thought I might have pulled it out as I took out a small ball. I carried on treating and it didn’t feel like the ointment was burning my skin so I carried on. Last night (about 2 weeks later) I pulled out another ball type piece and I think it’s gone but not sure.

Would it be obvious if there were still some left? There is a definite hole...

The reason it matters is firstly to stop treating. DH said it looks like it’s gone so stop treating it and then just start again if it comes back...

The other thing is I’m v careful about wearing socks or flip flops (and I want even moisturise there so that I’m not touching) so as not to spread it so I want to know if it’s gone!

Looks like it's gone to me

BunnytheKillerWhale · 26/01/2020 14:27

Thanks @OldEvilOwl It looks like it to me too. I might just leave it and see how it looks in a few days but I’m just impatient really!

Yeah that looks gone to me - you need to make sure all of the little black roots are out so try checking with your phone light!
I've just managed to get my sons out after two weeks treating it while he was asleep!

HippotheHorse · 26/01/2020 15:14

I can’t see anything like black dots in there, just a little hole and some dry skin around the edges but that will be from where the treatment has affected the healthy skin. I’m so happy that it seems to be gone!

I don’t think two weeks is bad @wineandsunshine It’s taken me about 2-4 weeks but the instructions say it could take up to 12 weeks and doesn’t always work so I am pleased that it hasn’t taken longer!
