"The Health Protection Agency (HPA) says there have been 480 confirmed cases of measles in the UK so far this year, compared to 756 cases in the whole of 2006.
Up until June 10th 2007 only 136 cases of measles had been confirmed, meaning over 300 cases have emerged in the past two months.
This increase means the rate of measles is at a higher rate than usual for this time of year."
