How long for skin biopsy results?

I had a biopsy on a growth on my ankle done on the 17th December (attached a picture as it’s quite difficult to describe). The results still aren’t in, I called on Friday and they weren’t back from the lab. Typically how long does it take, I was told about two weeks but obviously the Christmas break is going to lengthen that. I suppose I’m a little anxious because my Dad died from skin cancer. This thing on my ankle seems to have a life of its own it aches and puffs up in the evening. The biopsy was a core biopsy taken from the coloured bit in the middle.

4-6 weeks here l think that it varies from area to area.
When it comes to Christmas a good rule of thumb is to add 2-3 weeks to the normal waiting period
