Anyone with any experience of Anger Management?

Someone close to me feels that they need to go on one of these courses. What can they expect from one and how do we go about finding a decent one, or would they get a referral from their gp?

My DP did a similar course-my health support worker gave us the number; he had to self refer because it was for DV.

it worked totally no problems at all since the first week he started there (a yr ago). he did the 12 week course and is now back to normal!

it was a lot of talking, breathing exercises, how to remove yourself respectfully from situations that you would kick off in, etc.

yeah it really really has. sometimes if he gets angry now he uses the 'techniques' whilst still reassuring me...hard to explain, but things would be very different without it
