Hello, I feel like I am endlessly asking dumb questions. My dd has hardly any hair and am not sure why, i tried cutting it to help growth but that did not help. I am of chinese origin so my hair is pretty thick, and hubby is english and although now thinning had quite a bit of hair!!!
She is 19 months now but looks younger due to her hair. I think she is beautiful and am trying not to make a big deal as I don't want her to pick up on this. But in laws keep asking about it .

Will it eventually come? Or should i take her to see GP. She is fine otherwise

DD hardly grew hair for ages... partly because she had cradle cap (doesn't bother me, couldn't be asked to scrub it off). Does your DD still have cradle cap? Just be glad you don't have to wash her hair all the time?? DD's hair is coming in thick now (age almost 3 yrs).

I am sure you have nothing to worry about. I had the reverse with my dd as she had too much hair. No seriously there was just too much!
I think by about the age of 2-3 it should become thicker. Obviously if you are a little bit concerned maybe phone your hv as they are good at answering things like this.
Try not to let other peoples comments worry you!

Dd1 had virtually no hair until about 18mths and then it was very very whispy. She had 2 bits at each side that grew longer then the rest and when i was eventually persuaded to get them choped off the rest of it started growing too.

Dd2 has quite thick hair but it has never grown past the bottom of her ear

I wouldn't worry it'll happen soon enough.

My ds's hair improved vastly between ages of 2 and 3. At 2, he had this kind of mohican effect, but it has now filled in and looks like a normal head of hair. He also had very bad cradle cap (until quite recently actually), but not where the gaps in his hair were...
Saw beautiful toddler (female) the other day with virtual number one all over ... just a thought.

dd1 only had a tuft of her in the middle which curled up. even now her hair is fine. dd2 was born with at least an inch of jet black hair, which went curly and now waves gently with some ringlets and is a golden brown colour.
