Ear sounds like a dalek

I've had a cold, and yesterday had pain and a itchy ear, today I've woken up and it sounds like sound is bouncing back into my ear, so I can hear the tv inside my ear and can hear my own voice. Is this normal? Almost sounds robotic and everything sounds like a dalek. Tia

I have the ear variation of 'the cold' and I have heard some right odd stuff. Lots of fluid and trickles as well as ringing and muffled sounds. I am also dizzy. It's painful without being excruciatingly so
