Spotty rash at top of 2.6 yo dd's thighs - please help.

The rash is very localised around the bit where her thigh joins her vulva iykwim. I have recently potty trained and the wipes (Tesco's version of Kandoos) made her bottom and vulva sore. I stopped using the wipes and the soreness has gone but the rash has appeared. She is spending a lot of time bottomless outside, isn't having accidents and is mainly dry at night. The rash is itchy and a bit stingy. Any ideas of what this is and how to treat it very gratefully received.

has she been sitting on grass outside? Could there be ants (although then I guess it would be everywhere on her bottom).

could you try calamine lotion to soothe, or Sudacrem? If it doesn't go, maybe consult the GP?

She has been sitting on grass but I don't think it is bites or stings as she hasn't complained about being bitten/stung. I have put metanium on it tonight - it always did wonders with her nappy rash.

i'd wait and see if it gets any better tomorrow. Maybe keep her in a loose pair of cotton pants to make sure it's not prickly grass or tiny ants (we've got loads and my ankles get bitten in the garden although I don't feel it at the time). It's probably just an irritation and hopefully will go away. Maybe the soreness from the wipes has made it all itchy, and she's irritated it by scratching.

Hope it goes away. But if not, see the doctor, and they might be able to prescribe some stronger cream or something.
