B12 and Folate Results

Just got blood test results back from hospital but won't see them until March. They look mainly fine but looks like folate is low and lymphocyte count was marginally low but doubt that matter (1.09 rather than 1.10 to 4.5). Lots of neurological symptoms. I'll wait for the appointment but is this likely to mean I need to take a folic acid supplement - had a test around 4 years ago when it was low and GP said to leave it so not sure. Thanks

Component Your Value Standard Range
Vitamin B12 473.0 ng/L 211.0-911.0 ng/L
FOLATE 3.58 ug/L >=5.38 ug/L

FBC is normal - only thing out of range given is lymphocyte which is very slightly low. Your value 1.09 109/L Standard 1.10-4.50 109/L

Your level of vit B12 is low and will explain your neurological symptoms.
Yes the results are within range but the lower value is to say that this is the value when they KNOW you will have neurological symptoms. Many people will start experiencing issues well befire that.

Have a look at that book around that subject Book here

If this was me, I wouod start taking some high level vitamin B12 tbh...

I have found this has made. A huge difference for me (other symptoms but all neurological too)
