Hi all, just wondering if any of you have had a colposcopy when on your period?
I've received a letter today asking me to attend my 1st colposcopy due to 5-6years of HPV results from smears; but it's when I'm expecting to be on my period. My information leaflets say it's ok and to keep the appointment but just wondering if it's going to make the procedure more difficult (not to mention messier)
My anxiety is going through the roof and I just want the entire ordeal to be done and have the appointment over with but instead have 4 more weeks to wait and worry.
I've read previous posts about the procedure which has helped to calm my nerves but none mention them taking place whilst already bleeding.
